Here is a useful video on replacing the leather on your wheel:  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FHTuLV1L1tg

Installing or removing the Swan 46 steering wheel is a demanding task, and the yard issued an instruction specifically for this. In case any of the Association members happen to have the instruction it would be helpful to share it here. My recommendation is to use a skilled mechanic with previous experience of this job particularly when putting the wheel back. In case you need a suggestion pls contact me. Kind regards, Lars

Dear Filip, The steering wheel hub is held by screws at both the forward and the aft end.
Access is required through the forward side of the forward pedestal, and there may be a stowage locker, a hydraulic panel, or an autopilot motor in the way, depending on your specific arrangement. On the aft side of the aft pedestal there is a cover, but probably the chain sprocket has to be taken out in order to access the screws. Slack off the steering cables so the chain can be lifted off the sprocket, and leave the chain in place. If you have questions about this pls feel free to ask. Kind regards, Lars

I want to take my steering wheel off to put new leather on. What do I have to do to get this done? Regards, Filip (Vesper #026)
